The Actors Pulse offers studio-based, performance-driven training built on the Meisner Technique. Rather than focusing heavily on academic theory, students spend the majority of their time actively working on scene study, technique and on-camera practice. Our smaller class sizes and structured progression allow for consistent feedback and professional development.
What is the full-time acting class schedule? What is the duration of the course?
Our full-time acting course which runs to a set schedule over three years, depending on the focus you wish to study, a weekly class schedule typically consists of 2 to 3 Screen Actings classes and 2 to 4 Meisner Technique classes plus any electives chosen for your course. Enrolment is done on a year by year basis, with Years two and three being invitation only.
How long does each class session last?
How long each class session will last will depend on the class type you are attending. For instance, our Meisner technique and screen acting classes run for three hours each session, our movement and voice and dialect classes run for two hours.

How do I enrol in full-time classes?
To enrol in one of our full-time acting courses, we request that you complete the online application form. This detailed form requires information regarding your past experience, skills you may have such as languages, dancing or singing and either a video audition submission or in-person addition appt to be made.

Are there specific enrolment periods or deadlines?
Typically our courses run on a 9-week term with 5 terms per year. As such, we encourage you to enrol at the start of a term as this ensures the most comprehensive approach to learning the course material.

What is the typical class size for full-time acting classes?
Class sizes at The Actors Pulse generally range from 8 to 16 students, depending on the type of class being taught. By keeping our class sizes on the smaller side, we are able to offer increased individual attention and feedback to our students, ensuring a personalised and engaging learning environment.
Who are the instructors for the full-time classes?
Exactly who will be leading your class will depend on the course material being taught.
As we have specialist voice and dialect coaches, movement tutors, screen acting and Meisner coaches on staff, each is individually assigned to lead specific curriculums based on their area of expertise.
What are the instructors' qualifications and acting backgrounds?
At The Actors Pulse, we have an exceptionally talented team of tutors from a diverse range of acting backgrounds. This includes past alumni, successful screen and stage actors and Billy Milionis, Director of The Actors Pulse, who is one of only a handful of Australians to have studied under Sandford Meisner himself.
