Set yourself up for success as an actor

Suitable for beginners and emerging actors, with learning delivered through small class sizes and personalised guidance.

Build A Strong Foundation For Truthful Acting

AS A BEGINNER, YOU WILL BE GUIDED THROUGH THE ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED TO DEVELOP AS AN ACTOR.

Training takes place in small classes, allowing for focused attention as confidence develops. Under the direction of experienced coaches, you’ll learn how to work truthfully, listen fully and respond instinctively – the building blocks of compelling performance.

Through a series of enjoyable, structured exercises, you’ll explore different aspects of yourself and how they translate into character. This work encourages curiosity, engagement and discovery as you construct the imaginary circumstances of a role and understand how characters live, think and behave within their world.

The focus is on clarity, presence and consistency, providing a framework you can continue to build on as your training progresses.

What Will You Learn In Our Beginners Acting Classes?

Beginner classes at The Actors Pulse are grounded in practical, professional actor training. While informed by the Meisner Technique, no prior knowledge is required – everything is introduced step by step.

As a beginner, you’ll work on:

Responding truthfully in the moment through listening and reaction
Interpreting scripts by understanding given circumstances and making clear character choices
Using imagination and emotional awareness to support believable performances
Exploring character through structured exercises
Developing core acting skills, including presence, focus and body awareness
Building confidence working in front of others in a supportive environment

Each concept is introduced progressively, ensuring your work remains grounded, repeatable and process-driven. The emphasis is on responding truthfully and naturally, rather than trying to “perform”, essential skills that form the basis of strong acting across both stage and screen.
