Australian actor, Ivan Topic, was raised by his Yugoslavian mother in a tough, working-class suburb on the outskirts of Brisbane.

Ivan is an Actors Pulse graduate of the Meisner Technique and has a Bachelor of Communications in Film and Television Production and Print and Broadcast Journalism. He also studied copywriting at the Australian Writers and Art Directors School.

With incredibly versatile acting abilities, Ivan has appeared in many well-known feature films, television shows and theatre productions since completing his studies at The Actors Pulse.

He made his film debut with Khoa Do’s internationally acclaimed feature film, The Finished People.


Shortly after he appeared in Khoa Do's second feature film, Footy Legends and went on to play Mia Wasikowska’s father in the Australian comedy thriller Suburban Mayhem which premiered at Cannes Film Festival and was released shortly after in Australia.

Ivan has many television credits to his name including appearances on Home and Away, Bastard Boys, Rake, Behind Mansion Walls, Soul Mates, and Love Child -the popular Australian drama that covered the lives of staff and residents at the fictional Kings Cross Hospital and Stanton House in Sydney in 1969.

His film roles include On Halloween, 33 Postcards, and Timothy Boyle much anticipated Shadow Wars, where he appears opposite screen legend, John Rhys-Davies. The Sci-Fi film tells the story of a woman who develops a strange psychic ability following a horrific car accident and is placed inside a psychiatric hospital.

Ivan’s theatre credits include leading roles in Europe, The Dumb Waiter, Those The River Keeps, Spiked Heels, Glengarry Glen Ross and the Bebop Apocalypse.
