At The Actors Pulse, we understand that life can be busy and unpredictable, especially for working actors and students. That’s why we offer a wide range of flexible part-time acting classes across film, stage, television, voice and movement. With class times designed to fit around work, high school or college, you can train without putting the rest of your life on hold.

Our courses cater to all skill levels, from complete beginners to experienced performers looking to refine their craft. Taught in a supportive, collaborative environment, you’ll be guided by experienced tutors and surrounded by like-minded students, giving you the tools and confidence to take your acting to the next level.

At The Actors Pulse, our part-time programs are built around flexibility, giving you the freedom to design your own training. You can choose from 1 to 6 classes per week, with enrolment on a term-by-term basis, so your study fits comfortably around work, school or other commitments.

What's the difference?

Part Time

The part-time acting course offers flexibility for students who wish to pursue their acting education while managing other commitments.


Allows students to select their preferred classes and combinations, with options ranging from 1 to 6 classes per week.
Flexible scheduling on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Workload depends on the number of classes chosen by the student.
Open to all skill levels without the need for an audition.
In-studio classes, with online options available.

Full Time

The full-time acting course is designed to encourage students to grow into smart, marketable, and strong actors, better preparing them to take their careers into their own hands upon graduation.
Includes 4 Meisner classes/week, 3 screen acting classes/week, voice and movement classes and Business of Acting Workshops.
A structured schedule with a comprehensive curriculum.
Intensive workload with a significant time commitment each week.
Requires an audition as part of enrolment application.
Predominantly in-studio, with online study combinations available.
Enrolment is done on a year by year basis. Total course length is 3 years. Years two and three are invitation only.

What is the part-time acting class schedule? What is the duration of the course?

Our part-time acting classes run on a flexible schedule with a range of acting classes and workshops available at different times to suit your needs and preferences.

Unlike our full-time acting course which runs to a set schedule over three years, our part-time option runs on a term-by-term basis. Designed to support your skill development at your own pace so you can choose how many classes a week you wish to attend each term amongst your other commitments. Both in-person and online classes are available on a part-time schedule.

How long does each class session last?

How long each class session will last will depend on the class type you are attending. For instance, our Meisner technique classes run for three hours each session and our movement classes run for two hours.

How do I enrol in part-time classes?

To enrol in part-time classes with The Actors Pulse you simply need to fill in the online enrolment form. Select your preferred course, number of classes, and term for commencement and provide your details and we’ll be in touch with more details and to confirm your request.

Are there specific enrolment periods or deadlines?

Typically our courses run on a 9-week term with 5 terms per year. As such, we encourage you to enrol at the start of a term as this ensures the most comprehensive approach to learning the course material.

However, we understand the need for flexibility, so should you have concerns about course timelines, please speak with our team directly and we will do what we can to assist.

What is the typical class size for part-time acting classes?

Class sizes at The Actors Pulse generally range from 8 to 16 students, depending on the type of class being taught. By keeping our class sizes on the smaller side, we are able to offer increased individual attention and feedback to our students, ensuring a personalised and engaging learning environment.

Who are the instructors for the part-time classes?

Exactly who will be leading your class will depend on the course material being taught. As we have specialist voice and dialect coaches, movement tutors, screen acting and Meisner coaches on staff, each is individually assigned to lead specific curriculums based on their area of expertise.

What are the instructors' qualifications and acting backgrounds?

At The Actors Pulse, we have an exceptionally talented team of tutors from a diverse range of acting backgrounds. This includes past alumni, successful screen and stage actors and Billy Milionis, Director of The Actors Pulse, who is one of only a handful of Australians to have studied under Sandford Meisner himself.

Each tutor has been carefully selected to run our courses based on their skill, extensive training and experience within the industry. For details on who will be running the specific classes you are interested in or enrolled in, please speak with our team.

Are there any prerequisites for enrolling in part-time classes?

No, there is no prior learning or qualifications required for enrolling in our part-time acting classes. However, depending on your past learning or experience, we do have classes aimed at different skill levels from beginner to intermediate and advanced to ensure the best fit.

What is the cost of part-time classes, and are payment plans available?

The cost of our part-time classes varies depending on the type of course chosen and the number of classes being attended each week.

Typically, the more classes you attend each week, the better the value, for example, our Meisner technique class starts at $640 per week with 2 classes a week priced only slightly higher at $840 per week.

For new enrolments, payment is required up-front in advance of the term commencing. While payment plans are not offered, for subsequent enrolments, an option to pay in instalments throughout the term may be available. However, this remains at the discretion of The Actors Pulse.
