Jeremy Shadlow started acting at the age of 11 when he played Edward Wiltshire in the period mini series Against The Wind. Following this he played Mamillius with The Rocks Players in The Winterʼs Tale.
After appearing in numerous commercials and bit parts Jeremy appeared in his first major role in a children’s film called Mystery at Castle House alongside Henry Szeps and Ray Meagher. By the age of 15, he appeared in a new drama called A Country Practice in only two episodes. His character was written back in for another two episodes where he won a Logie Award for Best performance by a Juvenile at age 16.
Following this he went on to appear in guest roles in more TV dramas such as Flying Doctors, All The Way, Mike Willeseeʼs The Australians, Hey Dad!, G.P. and Barlow and Chambers: A Long Way from Home, the story of Australia’s first convicted drug smugglers executed in Indonesia, working alongside Julie Christie (Dr Zhivago), John Polson (Tropfest) and Sarah Jessica Parker (Sex and the City). Supporting roles in Australian features Dead End Drive-In, Breaking Loose and Watch the Shadows Dance with Nicole Kidman.
While struggling for work, he mainly worked in commercials as well as the successful children’s series Search for Treasure Island part 2 but after some time he realized even though he had personally matured, his craft had not. And so he took many short courses in acting at various institutions before settling into the Meisner technique at The Actor’s Pulse. Jeremy graduated from The Actor’s Pulse in 2011.
Over the past few years Jeremy has continued to work in select commercials as well as performing guest roles in All Saints, Rescue Special Ops, Tricky Business and In Your Dreams. More recently working with Bryan Brown and Sam Neill in their new ABC drama Old School and co-lead in the short film musical Threaded currently in post-production.
